MICHAEL Chapman is playing Hebden Bridge as part of a tour to celebrate 50 years on the road and his 75 years on the planet.
He will be at the Trades Club on Thursday, April 28, with renowned pedal steel guitarist B J Cole and talented cellist Sarah Smout.
Michael Chapman first became known on the London and Cornish folk club circuits in the late 1960s.
Playing a blend of atmospheric and autobiographical material he established a reputation for intensity and innovation.
Signed to EMI's Harvest label he recorded a quartet of classic albums, including Rainmaker and Fully Qualified Survivor, showcasing his melancholic observer role.
