Renowned young Keighley blues guitarist Christopher Dunn is switching to poetry and the visual arts.

He is staging an exhibition entitled Bingley Secrets featuring his watercolours and accompanying poems.

The quirky poems are based on Bingley landmarks such as Damart Mill, St Ives wood, the River Aire and Leeds/Liverpool Canal.

Bingley Secrets, Christopher's first watercolour exhibition, features work completed while he was living in the town.

He said the exhibits were the product of his imaginations while walking the streets and waterways of Bingley.

He said: "Real life characters born in the area such as the boxer Percy Vear and cosmologist Sir Fred Hoyle inspire some pieces while others are pure fantasy."

Christopher graduated from Swindon College School Of Art last year with an honours degree in illustration.

He currently works as a freelance illustrator, and has the website chris-dunn.co.uk.

Bingley Secrets runs from tomorrow (August 21) to September 20 at the Bingley Gallery, 29A Park Road, Bingley, open Thursday to Sunday.
