A Keighley equestrian and pet supplies business faces an uncertain future after raiders broke into its premises and stole almost all its stock.
The owner of the company, Lauren Houfe, who lives in Steeton, said burglars took at least £5,000 to £7,000 worth of gear, most of which was horse-related equipment.
She said her business, based in rented premises off Dalton Lane, was burgled between 1am and 3am on May 19.
Security camera footage shows three men loading goods into a car and driving off.
“When I saw what had happened, I broke down and cried – I just didn’t know what to do,” Miss Houfe, 25, said.
“They took their time doing it. They took pretty much all my stock, and I’m not insured.
“I was only able to recover a few boxes, which they had left stashed behind a nearby building to come back for later.”
She added: “I set up the business myself nearly two years ago using my own savings.
“I’ve shut my website down and closed our eBay page. I also had to refund the people who had bought stock over the weekend.
“At the moment, I really don’t know what I’m going to do. I’ll need to take a step back and look at the value of what I’ve still got.
“I’ve passed good CCTV images onto the police, and they are looking at those now.”
She warned people to be on their guard against anyone looking to sell off cheap horse tack items, including Rhinegold horse rugs, jodhpurs and double bridles.
Miss Houfe also asked people to watch out for suspiciously cheap sales of equipment bearing John Whitaker, ProTack and Elico labels.
Sergeant Stephen Hanson, of the Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We would like to hear from anyone with information about this incident, which is believed to have occurred between 1am and 3.30am on May 19.
“We would also like to hear from anyone who might have seen anything suspicious in the Deal Street area of Worth Village around that time, as well as anyone who might have been offered reduced price equestrian equipment.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 1825 Edwards at the Keighley NPT on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
