BRONTË fans can explore the Parsonage Museum by candlelight next week.
The Haworth museum is taking part in the national Museums At Night event on May 14 and 15.
Next Thursday visitors can have a glass of wine then view some of the museum’s treasures by candlelight.
Collections manager Ann Dinsdale will invite the visitors into the library, where she will talk about some that interesting items and artefacts belonging to the Brontë family.
The event runs from 9pm to 10pm, and tickets cost £15 by e-mailing rebecca.yorke@bronte.org.uk or visiting bronte.org.uk/whats-on.
The Friday will see an 8pm to 10pm opening where visitors can have a chat with Charlotte Brontë’s friend Ellen Nussey while looking around the museum.
Normal admission prices will apply.
Marketing and communications officer Rebecca Yorke said: ‘We are looking forward to helping our visitors to experience the Parsonage as the Brontës would have done – by candlelight.”
