WILSDEN Parish Council has published a questionnaire asking residents for their views on the future of the village post office.
The move follows a public meeting about the issue last month, which attracted more than 70 residents.
A working party was recently set up, with support from the parish council, to look at reopening the Post Office at its original location in Firth Lane.
The questionnaire aims to gauge interest from residents and businesses about the financial viability of operating the post office with a separate business alongside.
The parish council said: “In order to fund the company through loans and grants, some initial investment is required.
“Our preference is for a larger number of members to make a relatively small donation rather than a smaller number making larger donations. Based upon this, we are looking for people interested in becoming members who will donate £20.”
