THE BRONTË Parsonage Museum is again taking part in the national Museums At Night event.
Activities will begin on May 12 at 7.30pm, with Charlotte Undressed, a chance for visitors to view rarely-displayed pieces from the writer’s wardrobe.
The ticketed event, which includes a glass of wine, will be led by a member of the collections team.
Textile artist Serena Partridge will then talk about how her artistic response to the concept of ‘the miniature’ was inspired by Charlotte’s tiny gloves, shoes and stockings.
She will discuss the development of her work alongside the pieces that were her original inspiration.
Tickets cost £15 (£12 concessions). Visit bronte.org.uk/whats-on or call 01535 640188 to book tickets.
Museums At Night continues on May 13 from 6.30pm to 8pm, with tales of childhood courage and wartime adventure, told by candlelight in the historic rooms.
The event is free to all visitors providing evidence of living in the BD22, BD21 or BD20 postcode areas and Thornton. Normal admission prices apply to all other visitors.
The event ties in with the annual Haworth 1940s Weekend.
