AN APPEAL has been lodged against Bradford Council's rejection of plans to extend a Cullingworth house.
Planners said the proposed single-storey expansion of Pennywell, 19 Hunters Green, would be inappropriate for the green belt.
"When added to previous enlargements of the dwelling it would amount to substantially more than 30 per cent of the original volume," said a spokesman.
"As such, the proposals represent a disproportionate addition over and above the size of the original house."
But the appellant, Margaret Jagger, says the changes to the property are needed due to health issues faced by herself and her partner.
She adds that the extension would be built in keeping with the existing house and would not have any impact on neighbouring residents.
