POLICE are investigating the cause of a blaze at a Keighley town-centre flat.
Crews from Keighley and Shipley fire stations were called out just after 4pm today to tackle the blaze, at a third-floor apartment in North Street.
The front door of the flat was on fire.
Entry was forced to the premises to ensure no-one was inside and a hose reel used to extinguish the flames.
"A neighbour had used a pan of water to help douse the fire before we arrived – which helped stop it spreading," said Keighley fire service crew commander, David Knox.
"The fire was contained to the door.
"We carried out a search of the flat – which did turn out to be unoccupied – and ventilated it."
