A KEIGHLEY doctor has been appointed medical director of the Yordales Health Ltd GP federation.
Dr Andy Parsons, a partner at Kilmeny Surgery, aims to drive forward improvements across the district.
The federation comprises 14 GP practices in Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven.
"I am excited to be joining the federation at an important stage in its development," said Dr Parsons.
"As the NHS faces significant challenges, it is vital we work together as GPs to explore new ways of delivering more joined-up services with our partners.
"Yordales has the potential to become a leading healthcare provider, and I'm looking forward to building on our foundations to deliver services, which best suit our patients' needs."
Antony Radley, director of Yordales Health Ltd and practice manager at Dyneley House Surgery in Skipton, said: "I am delighted Dr Parsons is joining us. He will play a key role in leading and supporting the improvements our patients want to see.
"This is another positive step as we look to put in place a stable and permanent leadership team that will drive forward the highest standards of healthcare for people living in Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven."
Dr Parsons has worked in Keighley for 16 years and currently specialises in asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases.
