DOCTOR Who has taken time out from fighting Daleks and Cybermen to help Manorlands.

The time traveller’s TARDIS is now in the ownership of local people Claire Chapman and Jenny Neil.

The pair paid £60 to buy the TARDIS, which was specially created by villagers for last summer’s Haworth 1960s weekend.

The TARDIS was built by James Hogg, Romana Hogg, Stephen Hogg, Anna Richards and Mark Davis using recycled wood from the set of the recently-filmed Brontë drama To Walk Invisible.

The BBC filmed the 90-minute drama at several Haworth locations including Main Street and a specially-created replica of the 1800s Haworth Parsonage built on nearby Penistone Hill.

To Walk Invisible, written by Happy Valley and Last Tango In Halifax creator Sally Wainwright and due to be screened later this year, will portray a key time in the life of the Brontë family while they wrote their famous novels.
