SILSDEN celebrities Frankie and Phoebe Wainman are turning on this year’s Christmas lights in the town.
The champion stockcar racers will flick the switch on November 27 following Silsden’s popular annual Christmas market.
Frankie Wainman Junior is the 2016 British and World BRISCA Stockcar Champion while Phoebe, 20, is the 2016 British Hotstox Champion.
The Christmas market runs from 10am to 4pm with indoor craft and gift stalls and a cafe in Silsden Town Hall, and outdoor stalls in nearby streets.
There will be a children’s ride and hot food in Briggate, which will be closed for the day.
Weather permitting, Mary and Joseph, their donkey and followers will visit local inns seeking accommodation, from 3pm.
Silsden Town Band will play on the bandstand from 3.30pm, followed by carols at 4pm. Frankie and Phoebe will turn on the lights at 4.30pm followed by the day’s grand finale.
