A KEIGHLEY distillery which has its own source of mineral water has begun producing gin for the first time.
Royal Spring, in Goulbourne Street, used to supply mineral water until switching to making Yorkshire Vodka.
It is now introducing its latest product, called Three Sisters gin.
Peter Mastrantuono, one of two brothers who owns the distillery, said: “Our water source catchment area is from the Haworth Moors to the south.
“This water travels underground, picking up minerals before emerging at Royal Spring decades later.
“As this area was the home of the Brontes, we decided to name this gin Three Sisters.
“The gin is 45 per cent ABV and made in traditional style, giving it a fresh citrus finish, and wonderful aroma.
“It’s made in small batches and, as with our vodka, production is manual with zero automation.
“It’s available from our website and we’re looking for stockists and distributors so it’s easily available to everyone.”
