A NEW book about 100 key historical locations in England features Haworth's Bronte Parsonage Museum.
"Irreplaceable: A History of England in 100 Places", has been written by Philip Wilkinson, a specialist writer on history, architecture and religion.
The locations included in the book were chosen by the public, and then put to expert judges to choose the shortlist.
Author Monica Ali, who was born in Bangladesh and brought up in Bolton selected the parsonage museum for the book's Music and Literature category, where it is featured alongside landmark properties such as the homes of Jane Austen, George Orwell, Charles Dickens and William Shakespeare’s birthplace.
The hardback book is due to be published on September 18 by Historic England and will cost £20. It will be available to buy on Amazon.
The book's production has been sponsored by specialist insurer Ecclesiastical to help celebrate some of England’s remarkable places.
