A NEW-LOOK young Oxenhope side kicked off their season in Halifax League Division One with a win at home to Low Moor on a cold, windy day.
The hosts put the opposition in to bat and were soon into the Low Moor early order, with Nathan Storton making two early breakthroughs and the ever-reliable Jaz Jheeta claiming three.
A change of pace saw Tom Mawer come into the attack and collect four wickets. For the visitors, only Graham Scarborough (32) and James Overend (43) made significant contributions as they were dismissed for 123.
In reply, it was a couple of old stagers who stole the limelight with Stuart Jackson (58 no) and Craig Bartlett (55no) seeing off the total to see Oxenhope claim full points by nine wickets.
