70th Birthday Mollie DALEY Mollie would like to offer sincere thanks to everyone - family, friends, and colleagues who came along and shared the wonderful birthday party on Sat March 5 at the Rendezvous Hotel... WW2 all over again..You made it a fabulous night for me- the forties outfits were unbelievable...and you all remembered to bring your ration books ! Special thanks to the wonderful people at PEEL, who went beyond the call of duty to transform the ballroom, get everything organised, and made it run like clockwork - you deserve your medals. My gratitude to the hotel staff who ensured a smooth evening, and entered into the spirit of things, dressing up in their overalls and turbans, and serving a mean meat and potato pie. Thanks to the entertainment team- dancers and soloists who were pure magic, to Ian Dewhirst MBE, who added a wonderful extra dimension, bringing Keighley in 1941 back before us..and my two special ARP wardens, Karl and Frank who led the community singing ...real air raids were never so much fun! To my wonderful family, who made this happen and who were there to support me ..my everlasting love...I am a lucky lady. Thank you for the amazing birthday cards- duty has called me away for a few weeks, but on my return I will be sure to get in touch to offer my thanks personally. Thanks again for being there ..
