ORDER 1994
TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the procedures of the Baptist Union of Great Britain and the Baptist Union of Wales for the purposes of the above named Order West Lane Baptist Church, Haworth has applied to the Listed Buildings Advisory Committee for a Certificate of Authorisation to carry out the following works to their premises: The application is in two parts; retrospective permission is requested for four relatively small projects (A1 – A4) and future permission for one similarly small project not yet undertaken (B). A1. Headstones. Ten headstones have been laid down for safety reasons. A2. Stairlift. The stairlift was replaced by a reconditioned stairlift in May 2014. A3. Boilers. Two new gas fired heating boilers were installed in the cellar in December 2013. A4. Secondary Glazing secondary polycarbonate glazing was installed in the main first floor room (sanctuary) in January 2014. B. Crumbling Wall. An unsafe section of wall was partly demolished for safety reasons and it is proposed to remove the whole of that section to ground level. The Church building is listed Grade II and in a conservation area.
