Related Proposals to Close Hothfield Junior School, and Extend the Age Range and Enlarge the Premises of Aire View Infant School
(1) Hothfeld Junior School, Silsden
Notice is given in accordance with section 15(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (the Council) intends to close the school on 31 August 2017; and
(2) and (3) Aire View Infant School Silsden.
Notice is given in accordance with section 19(1) of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 that the Council intends to make the following prescribed alterations to the school from 1 September 2017:-(2) proposal to extend the age range of the school from 3-7 years to 3-11 years and (3) proposal to enlarge the premises of the school by increasing the capacity of the school. The current capacity of the school is 238 and the proposed capacity will be 630.
All 3 of the above proposals are related. Explanatory Note - The Council's proposals are to merge the two schools to create one primary school which will initially operate from both the Hothfield and Aire View sites.
