A RECENT 'straw poll' in Silsden gave residents the chance to compare Labour's fully-costed plans to deal with the cost-of-living crisis with those likely to appear in this week's Conservative autumn statement, after Liz Truss' experiment crashed the economy.
As can be seen in the photograph, many of the Conservative proposals proved unpopular, with the exception of higher taxes on the better-off and an extension of the windfall tax on oil and gas producers.
