I WOULD like to thank everyone in Craven ward (Silsden, Steeton, Eastburn and Addingham) for all your support over the last four years whilst serving as your councillor.
It’s been an absolute honour and privilege to have been given the opportunity to represent the ward I have lived in all my life and grown up in and love so much.
Especially for being elected when I was only 19 years old, I’ll be forever grateful for having had such incredible support from everyone in our ward. I’ll cherish every moment from the last four years and I’ll be forever thankful.
I made the tough decision to stand down as I feel like I have much more to learn in life and I believe this is the right time to go and explore the world and enjoy my 20s! I’ve learned so much during my time as Craven ward councillor and I want to continue learning and evolving.
This is not the end of my political journey by any means. I will be back and I will continue to support our community in anyway I possibly can and continue to campaign and champion our ward and all the amazing things it has to offer.
I would like to congratulate our new district councillor Janet Russell on her election win. I wish Janet all the best and I hope she loves the job as much as I did!
Once again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Owen Goodall, former Craven ward district councillor
