I FIND it quite amusing that Bradford Council has wasted time and money painting 20mph signs on Hainworth Wood Road, does it think that the idiots who constantly drive up and down on their motorbikes without helmets – and quad bikes and a lot of car drivers – are going to take the slightest bit of notice of this?
Money would be better spent clearing the public rights of way that are completely overgrown and inaccessible. Just another waste of taxpayers’ money.

* A Bradford Council spokesperson says: "Sadly, reduced speed limits and traffic-calming measures are often ignored by dangerous and nuisance drivers and this is a matter that we work with the police on.
"The road signs and markings for the 20mph speed limit are there to increase awareness of the reduced speed limits, that exist to cut average speeds and improve general road safety.
"Members of the public are urged to report any anti-social driving issues to the police.
"We will investigate any specific rights of way access issues that are brought to our attention and take action as appropriate. Residents can report overgrown paths via the council website at bradford.gov.uk/transport-and-travel/report-issues/form-problems-on-highways-and-streets."
