KEIGHLEY Friends of the Earth have just deposited a box of papers at the West Yorkshire Archives in Bradford.
This consists of information about local campaigns such as stopping the proposed Eastern Relief Road through Parkwood, exposing pollution and cleaning up the River Aire, and promoting local air quality and wind farms.
It includes many articles from the Keighley News over 12 years, as you always publish stories about local issues.
Keighley Friends of the Earth also campaigned on national and global issues, for example climate change, green energy, genetically modified food, recycling and sustainable development. Sadly these issues are still being debated 20 years later.
