Keighley photographer Danny Payne has shown who’s The Boss when it comes to taking super snaps!
He was invited to snap pictures of Bruce Springsteen as he played the debut concert at the new First Direct Arena in Leeds. Danny’s super shots included this image of US rocker Springsteen – known as The Boss – striking an iconic pose at the £60 million venue.
Danny (inset) said he was “very honoured” to cover the concert, which was intended to test the arena ahead of its official opening in September.
He added: “One of the music websites I take photographs for was keen for me to shoot the Springsteen gig.”
Danny was given the prestigious assignment after his success photographing a host of well-known music acts.
He started his career taking pictures of rock gigs in Keighley, with several of his photographs published in the Keighley News.
Danny said: “My work has been recognised by photographic agencies in London and New York, which has led to some of my photos being published in the national papers.
“I have a few festivals lined up during the summer, as well as a very busy period through autumn and winter where I hope to cover as many gigs as I can.”
