Cuddly mascots of Keighley Festival, along with their owner Malcolm Hanson, will be enthralling children in Keighley Library next week.
Malcolm will be accompanied by Happycat Jones and Dolly Dipstick, as part of this year’s West Yorkshire Libraries Summer Reading Challenge.
The playful trio will be at the library on Tuesday to present a brand new adventure, Ghostbusters.
The mascots have already played to packed audiences at Bingley Library and Bolling Hall, and will be finishing their tour in Keighley.
Along with their friend, Fred the daft chicken, the mascots also took part in a ghost-hunt earlier this year to try to find the Ghost of Cliffe Castle.
Malcolm said: “It’s wonderful to see all the children going gaga for Happycat and Dolly, but I have to say I’ve got mixed feelings about their rise to fame.
“In the days when I headlined concerts, I never imagined that one day I’d be playing second fiddle to two furry toys and a daft chicken.”
Children from the ages of four to 11 can catch the free Keighley show from 2.30pm to 3.30pm, but places must be booked at the library.
