More than 30 youngsters and adults enjoyed some spooky goings-on in Keighley Library – and there is more ghoulish fun on the horizon.
Children and their carers took part in a ‘Peekaboo Ghost’ session, part of the Creepy House programme of summer activities being staged in libraries across Bradford district, including Keighley.
Since the end of July, free Creepy House sessions in Keighley Library have been taking place each Wednesday, with the last due to be staged on August 28. People of all ages are welcome to go along.
Customer support assistant Ann Quinlan read the scary stories at last Wednesday morning’s session.
“It was fantastic – we had 22 children and 11 adults involved,” she said. “As well as the children, we had parents and grandparents – we have something going on in the lending library every week.”
On Wednesday, also from 11am to noon, there will be a monster mask-making session in the library, which will again include spine-tingling stories.
And on August 28, between the same times, Keighley Library will host ‘Werewolf Crispy Buns’. Organisers say this will be a fun but messy activity, so participants are advised to dress appropriately.
