A rock ‘n’ roller and a witch open the new season at Victoria Theatre in Halifax.
Room on a Broom is an enchanting and colourful family adventure from the creators of The Gruffalo.
The show, which is packed with music and laughter, is presented by Tall Stories from September 29 to October 2.
Buddy – the Buddy Holly Story portrays the short-lived career of the performer of songs like Peggy Sue and True Love Ways.
The September 16-21 show, which features all of Buddy’s hits, culminates in a rip-roaring recreation of the rock ‘n’ roller’s final concert.
Feelgood tribute show An Evening of Dirty Dancing promises hit songs from the 1980s movie, and award-winning folk fiddle star Seth Lakeman will play beautiful ballads and foot-stomping, sing-along songs on October 13.
Comedians appearing at Victoria Theatre include Billy Pearce (October 17), Sean Lock (November 3), Ed Byrne (December 3), Jason Manford (January 18) and Sarah Millican (May 5).
Also generating laughs – along with wild sound effects – will be The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Radio Show Live on November 17.
There will be tribute shows by the Bon Jovi Experience (October 11), Pink Floyd by Off The Wall (October 18) and One Night of Queen with Gary Mullen and The Works (November 21).
Steve Steinman’s Vampires Rock celebrates its tenth of year with iconic rock anthems on November 2.
Postman Pat Live! offers a new adventure for three to six-year-olds, packed with songs, laughter and audience participation, on October 26.
The Russian State Ballet and Opera House performs The Nutcracker (November 8) and Romeo and Juliet (9).
Also coming up is Ready Steady Cook Live, featuring Lesley Walters and Russell Grant (October 23), Essence of Ireland (October 31) and the Vagina Monologues (November 5).
