A new production of Shakespeare’s Richard III will be presented in York as part of a citywide festival.
The November 19-30 production is part of a varied programme for the Theatre Royal’s autumn season.
Peter Shaffer’s West End and Broadway hit of 1962, The Private Year, The Public Eye, is revived on October 29 to November 2.
The Theatre Royal’s seasonal production for three to eight-year-olds will be Cinderella, featuring live music, shadow puppetry and storytelling from December 7-31.
The annual pantomime will be Aladdin and the Twankeys, as usual written by, and starring, Berwick Kaler, from December 12 to February 1.
