An award-winning documentary filmed in the Middle East will be shown at the Picture House on September 21.
Keighley Film Club will host the screening of Five Broken Cameras, which was filmed almost entirely by Palestinian farmer Emal Burnat.
He recorded the building of barriers by the Israeli army to separate the village of Bil’in from a new Jewish settlement. The film shows the successful resistance of the villagers during a five-year period.
Tom Stewart, the club’s film co-ordinator, said: “The film shows how a community can successfully challenge authority in a non-violent manner.”
The 90-minute film will be shown with the club’s own film about the Keighley 10K run. The Keighley Picture House screening starts at 8pm.
