A host of famous 1960s acts appear in the latest version of popular touring show Sensational 60s.
Performing their original hits at the Victoria Theatre in Halifax will be The Marmalade, Herman’s Hermits, Chris Farlowe and Steve Ellis’ Love Affair.
The October 19 show, hosted by Alan Mosca from Freddie and The Dreamers, promises a line-up dripping with nostalgia.
Herman’s Hermits were a dominating force through the 1960s, with 23 top 20 singles, ten hit albums and three movies, selling 75,000,000 records worldwide. Their hits include Mrs Brown You’ve Got A Lovely Daughter, Silhouettes, There’s A Kind Of Hush, Henry VIII, Something Is Happening and I’m Into Something Good. The group continues to perform more than 200 shows a year worldwide.
The Marmalade are described as unpretentious and irresistibly commercial, with hits including Lovin’ Things, Ob La Di Ob La Da, Reflections Of My Life, Cousin Norman and Back On The Road.
Chris Farlowe started out with The Thunderbirds in the late 1950s, later performing across Europe, with hits including Out Of Time, Handbags And Glad Rags, Let The Heartaches Begin and Reach Out I’ll Be There.
Steve Ellis’ Love Affair stormed into the charts in 1967 with Everlasting Love, followed by further hits like Rainbow Valley, Bringing On Back The Good Times and A Day Without Love.
