Halifax children’s museum Eureka! has restarted its three Saturday and holiday clubs for disabled children and their families through the Helping Hands Project.
The first club is running for the next two Saturdays, and is dedicated to autistic children aged up to five.
This will be followed by a full programme of events for the next few months, as Helping Hands goes into its third year, with funding from the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation.
Helping Hands clubs are free, and membership includes the activities run by trained staff, a free packed lunch and a Eureka! annual pass. There will be hearing impaired clubs in October and Down Syndrome clubs in November and December, with more scheduled in the New Year.
