Kicking off the new season at Keighley Blues Club will be one of the members' favourite bands.
The Nimmo Brothers first brought their powerhouse British rock and blues to the club in 2008 and have since returned repeatedly.
The debut performance was described by the Keighley News reviewer as “outstanding and relentless”.
The band returned in 2010 hot on the heels of their album Picking Up The Pieces.
Guitarist siblings Stevie and Alan Nimmo from Glasgow first performed together professionally in the late 1990s and went on to achieve acclaim for their rock and blues.
Their material was rooted in the traditions of the British blues boom of the 1960s, but included enough rock elements to keep most blues and rock fans happy.
The band are renowned for playing with power and Glaswegian attiude, injecting infectious energy into their live performances. The brothers, Stevie and Alan, are currently enjoying successful solo projects but are keen to point out the band is still a going concern.
Last year they recorded an album in Austin, Texas, with some of the city's most sought-after musicians such as Jamie Oldaker and Michael Ramos.
The disc, Brother to Brother, went back to Stevie and Alan's roots with a collection of songs influenced by, as they said, “everything we’ve ever listened to over the past 20 years”.
There were hints of the 70s blues rock of Free and Thin Lizzy and the modern hard-rocking of Nickelback and Thunder.
Brother to Brother was closely followed by two European tours.
Keighley Blues Club gigs are in the Hall of Fame bar at Keighley Cougars, Royd Ings Avenue.
Tickets cost £10 for members and £13 for non-members, by contacting Blues Boy John at bbj21@btinternet.com or by calling (01535) 600310 or 07522 326855.
