A Keighley publisher has released a new anthology of more than 70 poems entitled Running Before The Wind.
Poets featured in the collection of sea prose from Grey Hen Press read their work at the official launch in Lancaster last month.
A Grey Hen Press spokesman said: “The anthology covers every aspect of our relationship with the huge and often unpredictable masses of water that cover the earth.”
Among the 72 female poets featured in the book is Doris Corti, of Lindley, who reads a weekly report at a writing group for the University of the Third Age in Huddersfield.
Doris was awarded second place in the Society of Women Writers and Journalists’ Lady Elizabeth Longford poetry competition for her emotive piece entitled Monsters, recalling time spent playing with her son in the garden.
