Burnley singer Kath Reade returns to the Wuthering Heights folk night to help establish its new date and time.

The monthly session at the Stanbury pub has moved to the last Sunday of each month, running from 4pm to 7pm.

Every month begins with an open mic session open to all singers and musicians. There is then a featured artist – Kath Reade on Sunday – drawn from Keighley or the surrounding region.

Martyn Johnson, one of the organisers, said singer-songwriter Kath was always very popular at the Wuthering Heights Inn.

He said: “She recently released her latest studio CD Devotion to Song, which has had great reviews, and she will be featuring some of the songs from this.

“Folk at The Wuthering Heights is a very friendly club and we extend a warm welcome to new performers and to our audience members.

“It is free entry, but we usually have a voluntary collection towards the guest artist’s costs.”

Future guests include South Africa’s Miriam Erasmus – formerly Miriam Backhouse – and Australian singer-songwriter Beck Sian.
