Folk singer Sarah McQuaid will perform at the Square Chapel, Halifax, on Friday, May 23.
Early this year Sarah travelled from Cornwall in the UK to Cornwall, New York, to record her fourth solo album. She then played 21 shows in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany before embarking on her UK and Ireland tour this month.
Sarah’s voice has been likened to malt whisky, melted chocolate and “honey poured into wine”.
Her music reflects her background: she was born in Spain, raised in Chicago and now lives in rural England.
