The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre is returning to Keighley.

The comedy act has gone down a storm during previous appearances at the Exchange Arts Centre.

The little woolly comedians can be seen again on May 23 at the Russell Street venue.

The show is written and performed by comedian and comic book creator Kev F Sutherland, author of Bash Street Kids Adventures.

His puppets’ songs, sketches, parodies and puns have delighted audiences from Aberdeen to Adelaide (Pick Of The Adelaide Fringe 2012), from the Netherlands to Denmark, and all over the UK.

The Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre began in 2005 and has performed across the UK and internationally since.

The puppets first appeared as part of The Sitcom Trials in London, and since 2007 have attracted rave reviews at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Since then they have appeared in Holland, Denmark and the Channel Islands, as well as at Cheltenham Literary Festival and the Edinburgh International Magic Festival.

The Sock Puppets have also appeared many times on TV, including The One Show, The Culture Show, GMTV and Big Brother’s Little Brother.

The sock puppets have a large following through YouTube.

Critics have described the puppets as the Abbott and Costello of the sock world, and the Edinburgh Evening News said audiences have laughed until they cried.

The Exchange Arts Centre is one of the busiest venues in Keighley, hosting mostly music concerts, but occasionally comedy.

Comedian Charlie Chuck will perform in September 19.

Tribute bands appearing at the Exchange include Ozzbest, playing Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath songs, on July 18; Iron Maiden tribute Blood Brothers on September 20; Sex Pistols Experience on November 1; Scorpions tribute the Scopyons on November 15; and Limehouse Lizzy on November 29.
