A tale of philanthropy regarding the Brontes will be presented in Haworth next week.
Bronte expert Stephen Whitehead will speak about Sir James Roberts Bart during the event on Wednesday.
Sir James was the Haworth weaver’s lad who bought the parsonage for the Bronte Society. The mill owner ensured the building was saved for the nation.
The event, part of the Bronte Society’s 120th birthday celebrations, will be at West Lane Baptist Centre at 2pm.
