The Get Guns and the Sharp Darts kick off the latest Gassienda season at Keighley's New Variety Club.

The Guns are said to sound like The Libertines, while the Darts played last year's Party in the Park in Bingley.

Gassienda promoter John Gow said he was now doing a once-a-month Friday slot at the Russell Street club.

The night will be used every month except February, when Tom Hingley headlines on the 7th.

Hingley was the frontman with Inspiral Carpets, the legendary Manchester band from the 1990s.

John said: "One of the most inspirational singer/songwriters from the original Madchester scene, he'll be playing Inspirals tunes as well as his solo material.

"Also on the bill will be Keighley/London punk/folk protagonists Hollow Horse featuring radio presenter Gary Kaye.

"Joining them will be Daniel Orlick from the USA, who has been in the country for a few months but is stirring up interest in his unique style of bluesy/urban rhythms!"

The Gassienda will also host the comeback gig by Angel Chain Diaries, now with a full-time vocalist and "one of Keighley's best indie bands".

Rebel Truce, described as the UK's number one tribute to punk band The Clash, performs in April.

Alt:Country star Jason Ringenberg, from Nashville, returns in May with support from Keighley's own Alt:Country/folky duo Cowboy Chords.
