Two friends running a vegetable shop in the Yorkshire Dales take on greedy supermarkets in the play The Globalisation of Veg Boy.
Guy and Jean struggle to keep in business as local farms are abandoned, shops are boarded up and villagers starve.
They also have to contend with a ruthless reporter searching for a global exclusive in the Sheep Town Theatre.
For Guy has an earth-shattering superpower, and everything is at stake in the play at Skipton's Mart Theatre.
Sheep Town regularly produces self-written plays based on local stories, such as Phantom of the Skies and Overdale.
The leading light is Skipton man Thomas who has recently acted on TV in Coronation Street and The Amazing Mrs Pritchard.
Book for February 1 & 2 (1.15pm & 7.30 pm) on 01756 791411 or on the door.
