Strictly Come Dancercise.

Strictly Come Dancing is back but this time it is cashing in on the fitness market. Erin Boag and Karen Hardy have teamed up to make this exercise DVD.

It is packed with lots of fun and quite funky dance moves from the cha cha to the foxtrot, and even includes a cool down routine set to the TV show's theme tune.

Erin and Karen teach us how to master steps we have come to know from the BBC show, then they are choreographed into a routine to target certain areas of the body.

The fact that you were taught all of the steps before the routine was quite refreshing, a mini workout in itself, and you really felt like you had achieved something when you got it right.

Onceyou have played the DVD a few times you have the option to play without the tuition, a useful feature.

I did find Erin's teaching methods slightly more understandable and friendly than Karen's, but a good, fun exercise DVD with nothing run of the mill about it.

Lilia's Latina Tone.

I am not sure what to make of this DVD, from Strictly Come Dancing professional Lilia Kopalova.

Although it had quite punchy music and definitely some costumes for the males to enjoy (but what males actually do exercise videos?), I felt that it was lacking something.

The disc is packed with extras like a clip of Darren and Lilia performing a specifically choreographed routine, make-up and costume tips from Lilia, yet none really inspire us seem to have a purpose.

One feature is that you can switch the view while playing the DVD so you can watch the routine from behind, something that anyone who has taken a dance class will know can be invaluable, as you don't have to mirror the instructor but can watch their exact moves.

Although suitable for those who have not exercised in a while, I found some of the routines very simple and repetitive, with limited instruction for the more complicated moves. Not very inspiring.
