Making costumes for the large casts of amateur pantomimes is always a phenomenal task.
But watching Humpty Dumpty I realised it must be particularly formidable for Keighley Amateurs.
The dozens of children and adults seemed to have a different outfit every time they appeared.
And this colourful clothing was one of the highlights of a well-written and performed show at Victoria Hall.
Humpty ticked all the right boxes for the delighted family audience -- it was funny, lively, adventurous and tuneful.
It didn't have the star-bright sparkle of the very best Keighley shows -- such as last year's Babes in the Wood.
But part of this could be that I saw Humpty on its first day, a packed and noisy matinee performance.
Amongst many imaginative routines just one song and dance -- the recent pop song Shine -- was below par.
For me the most memorable performances came from Savannah Horsfall as a confident and cheeky Humpty and Lynsey Whitham as a confident and lovely-voiced Princess Julia.
