With a 97 minute feature film that sports brand new material and also songs from all four of the band's albums across a two disc set as well as footage from all 16 locations the band toured in 2006, Sigur Rós have made a beautiful and intelligent documentary and live collection.
That said, the DVD relies on you already being a fan and probably won't help those new to the band.
From the first few seconds, you know this will be something earthy and different from any other rock' film you've ever seen, and you wouldn't be wrong.
The band talk in an insightful and engaging way against the backdrop of the stunning Icelandic landscape.
The live performances are on par, if not better, than their recorded material, and the staging and cinematography are all top quality.
If you are a fan, the DVD is well worth your loose change, probably more so than any other tour film' of its kind.
