Cullingworth Art Group was delighted to attract more than 100 people to its first exhibition.
Several visitors asked how they could join the group during last Saturday's three-hour event.
The members were displaying 84 pictures in the meeting rooms of St John's Church.
They painted the works during sessions on Monday mornings and evenings in the village.
Joyce Brigg, one of the members, said the group would have to start a third session to cater for newcomers.
She said: "At the moment we're more or less full. The new session will be on a Thursday evening.
"We'll start it when we know we've got enough people -- hopefully by the end of April, or even sooner."
Anyone interested should phone Joyce on 01535 272611.
