Eighties rock band Rattlesnake Shake may soon be back on the local rock scene.

The popular Keighley band's former members are considering getting back together.

Five of the musicians are understood to be in favour of a Take That-style reunion.

To what the guys, Tony McColgan and Warren Fyffe, an air Valley Guitars in the Rolled arcade.

In a recent Keighley News interview they happily recalled their days with the Rattlesnakes.

They did not rule out a reunion for the band, renowned for its flamboyant shows over six years.

Tony and Warren were among Holy Family School students who formed the band in 1987.

Singer Martin Tarpy and keyboard player Tony Tronnolne remained with the band throughout its six-year life.

There were three drummers, Jez Hellens, Rob Kershaw and Gary Lawson.

Tony said the reason he was in Rattlesnake Shake was simple - "to get girls".

He said: "We liked to put on a show - the crowd could sense this and had a good time too.

"It was fabulous. We were the kings of the world. We had to stop throwing the guitars after a while!"

Warren said the members remained friends after the band eventually ran its course in the early 1990s.
