Classic sitcom Rising Damp takes to the stage at The Priestley next month.
After last year's successful preview of the show at the Little Germany theatre, rehearsals are in full swing for another production based on the show, regarded as one of ITV's most successful comedy series.
There will be three performances at The Priestley, by popular demand, followed by a small northern tour.
One of British comedy's most famous characters, Rigsby, originally brought to life by comic legend Leonard Rossiter, is back for the stage play of Eric Chapel's Rising Damp.
The performance, called Welcome to Bleak House, sees students Alan and Philip living in the dingy attic of Rigsby's house of bedsits.
Fellow tenant Ruth Jones is a lonely administrator and Rigsby is the sexually-frustrated, interfering landlord desperate for her attention.
Rising Damp runs at The Priestley from April 22 to 24. For tickets ring (01274) 820666.
