International autoharp legend Bryan Bowers shows off his talents in Keighley next month.
As a child he tagged along with field workers and gandy dancers while learning to sing old call-and-answer songs.
In the late 1960s he encountered the autoharp, relocated to Seattle and played for coins in the street and bars.
Concerts for bluegrass fans led on to awards, prestigious concerts and in 1993 induction into the Autoharp Hall of Fame.
Instrumental virtuosity is combined with warmth, eloquence and enchantment on April 11 at the Baccapipes Folk Club.
Start 8.30pm at Keighley Ukrainian Club, 9 Henry Street, off Cavendish Street. Phone 01535 605310.
