Sid Kipper's latest album In Season was described as a merciless satire of one of the oldest folk chestnuts.
Like many other artists he took listeners on a musical journey through the rites and rituals of the changing seasons.
But in Sid's hands, and his broad Norfolk voice, there was a "surefire welter of quips, groaners, puns and one-liners".
Tracks included Moo Cows Poo, Bed and Bawd, The Whaleman's Complaint and the Winterton Wassup Song.
Sid, in reality Queensbury singer-songwriter Chris Sugden, is performing a live version of the album on April 13.
He will be joined by Keighley female harmony trio Grace Notes and singer-musician Dave Burland.
Tickets are £10 from 01535 606939, with proceeds going to Leeds Intensive Care Unit.
