All the spectacle of a Pink Floyd gig will be recreated at St George's Hall next month when top tribute band Off the Wall incorporate the sights, sounds and special effects of their mentors into the act for which they have become famous.
Off The Wall are widely acclaimed as Europe's leading musical outfit dedicated to recreating the spirit of Pink Floyd.
Formed six years ago by lead guitarist and vocalist Dave Fortune, 46, of Clayton Heights and Paul Barker (who has since left the band), they're an eight-piece currently on a major national tour. They've been described by the BBC as "possibly the best concert band you will ever see."
Last July more than 4,000 people turned up at the Piece Hall in Halifax for the Off the Wall special which has now become an annual event, featuring three giant video screens, lasers and all the special effects associated with Pink Floyd.
The band's lucky break came when an agent from Holland saw them performing in Nottingham and offered them a tour of Scandinavia. Last year they completed a European tour and shot a DVD in Berlin.
Off the Wall are at St George's Hall on April 10.
