Keighley author Sophie Hannah has been shortlisted for a book award that ties in with World Book Day.
She is among 10 writers on the 2009 Book to Talk About final list, with The Fantastic Book of Everybody’s Secrets.
The shortlist is the result of World Book Day's Spread the Word campaign launched last November, for contemporary books with word-of-mouth appeal.
For several years Sophie, from Utley, wrote mostly books for children and poetry.
But she has now become a successful crime writer, her first three adult novels currently being adapted for a TV crime series.
Sophie's fourth crime novel The Other Half Lives, is released this month by leading publisher Hodder.
