Fifteen Stories is joined this Friday by fellow Keighley band Spike Island and Leeds outfit Royal Vendetta.

The Stories plan to unveil the second part of their album The Long Way Round in about two months.

The full album -- the first half went online last October -- will feature 10 tracks.

The band said Part One attracted amazing critical acclaim from the USA and across Europe.

A busy autumn culminated in a warm-up set for Reverend and the Makers in London recently.

Spike Island is named after the location of a renowned 1990 music festival in Widnes.

The band features former members of Keighley bands Karma and Street Light City Movement.

A spokesman said their "vibrant and surprising" music is definitely rocky indie but not poppy indie.

He added: "There are elements of punk and rock alongside funky guitar licks and basslines plus powerful drum beats and vocals."

Royal Vendetta proclaim that they play music that people want to hear. They had: "Trilbies, ties and skinny jeans this is not. We're writing music to move you and get you moving."

Friday's concert is at the New Variety, Russell Street, Keighley, from 8pm.

Fifteen Stories also perform with acoustic singer cursed at the Sun, Haworth, on February 28.

In March the Stories embark on a Long Way Round tour taking in about 10 cities including Glasgow, Newcastle, Nottingham and Manchester.

They play Joseph's Well, Leeds, on March 16 with El Dog and Vinnie and the Stars.

The tour ends at the New Variety Club on March 21.
