Metal marketing, management and merchandising will keep Kill to Gain busy this spring.

The Keighley metal band have finished their new EP, Dreamworld, the first half of a planned album.

CDs will go on sale on March 7 when the band plays Leeds Cockpit, supporting Marizon.

The band will give away a small number of copies while playing the Old Cock in Halifax this Friday.

Kill to Gain member Chris Hey said "We're aiming high with this album.

"It already has our current label Redskin Records chomping at the bit to sign it to them, but we're taking our time.

"We've sunk a lot of time, effort and money into this album and we've still got more to do."

The band's new management, Volume Promotions, has already sent a rep to the studio to hear songs.

Fans can hear tracks for free at www.myspace.com/killtogain.

Kill to Gain has also landed a sponsorship deal, with US-based Dirtbag Clothing.

The band will be selling the firm's t-shirts and hats to fans at reduced prices.

Band member Ben Cook said the plan was for Dirtbag to eventually sell Kill to Gain-branded merchandise.
