Winstan Robinson has upped sticks by his role in Bingley Amateurs' panto Jack and the Beanstalk.

He's been learning stilt walking to give a greater effect to his role of the giant in the family panto.

Winstan is joined in the cast by adult and teenage principals and a chorus of about 30 children.

"There are colourful costumes, a great deal of humour and popular music," said Amateurs spokesman Jennifer Wood.

"The panto enables us to give younger people the opportunity to take part in a great hobby."

These include Daniella Ockerby, who plays Jack and has just been accepted for three years study at Phil Winston's Theatre Works in Blackpool.

The cast includes Keighley Playhouse regular Gilly Rogers. The producer and is Peter Long and choreographer is Jean Gledhill. The show runs at Bingley Arts Centre on March 12-14 at 7.15pm, and March 14-15 at 2.15pm.
